Personal & Social Education
Cross-curricular themes are covered by
a programme of Personal &Social Education Tutorial sessions,
raising awareness in Health Education and Citizenship.
Tadcaster Grammar School has clearly defined policies on all
areas of Personal and Social Development, including issues such
as Anti Bullying, Discrimination, Equal Opportunities and Sex
and Relationship Education and Race Equality.
Parents are most welcome to access these policies, which are
published on the school’s website, or they may
contact the Headteacher’s Personal Assistant as necessary. Similarly
syllabuses and schemes of work in all academic disciplines are
available.
Learning Support & Gifted and
Talented
Tadcaster Grammar School has gained
a fine reputation for the quality and range of provision in all
areas of Learning Support.
 In
accordance with the 1994 ‘Code of Practice’ we offer specialist
classes, in-class support and individualised programmes of
learning targets. Teaching Assistants work alongside class
teachers to support students with specific learning
difficulties, or physical disabilities.
Exceptionally able students are also catered for, with
specialised coaching and learning programmes. Further
